Who We Are
GrowthAfrica was founded in 2002 on the desire and mission to proactively contribute to the social and economic growth of African economies through strengthening of the competitiveness of local enterprises. Its startup acceleration programmes were born in 2012 out of more than 10 years of East African entrepreneurial experience and a passion for start-ups. Its fabric is made of a belief that entrepreneurs can make Africa prosper and it is designed to deliver practical, applicable and supercharged learning that turns start-ups into successful businesses.
What We Do
GrowthAfrica strategically accelerates high-impact, high-growth businesses that innovatively contribute to Africa’s social and economic progress in different sectors through acceleration activities, strategic advice and access to funding. Today, GrowthAfrica continues to deliver acceleration services to medium and large international entrants into Africa, as well as cohort based incubation and acceleration programming for local start-ups and early stage enterprises focused on creating a positive impact beyond just profit. The executives and entrepreneurs are taken through a unique combination of facilitated Learning, peer-based learning and mentoring by some of Africa’s most experienced entrepreneurs, C-suite executives and technical specialists. All this is leveraging GrowthAfrica’s innovative proprietary methodology and learning, discovery and planning tool – the Impact Compass.

Who We Work With
We work with like-minded partners to assist ambitious African entrepreneurs fully exploit the vast opportunities and take on big challenges with cutting edge innovations and high impact solutions. We also invite sponsors to support events, and other initiatives aimed at providing committed entrepreneurs with the very resources they require to grow their social enterprises into strong commercial and high impact businesses.
